Each change must reach every counter at once, and later you need to know which ticket used which round. The system pulls the bank rate for every branch every 15 minutes, keeps a rate history, and every ticket remembers the rate it confirmed at.
Several counters in one city
Cash sits in several places and the owner wants one total at four in the afternoon without phoning around. The latest count of every currency at every branch is readable from a browser.
Staff turnover
A new cashier should write a ticket on day one but should not be able to edit rates or read margins. Permissions follow the role: cashier, manager or owner.

Every currency Bangkok Bank quotes, pulled in automatically with its note bands. The board keeps the most-asked currencies on top and rotates the rest.
What happens when the shop's internet drops?
The system runs in the browser, so it needs a connection. Most Bangkok shops switch to a phone hotspot immediately, and confirmed tickets are never lost.
